Because we're in the center of Wilkes-Barre, about half of our students live off-campus. Although we are big on independence, we urge commuter students to become part of Wilkes community life.
In addition to our wide range of activities we support the Commuter Council, which is made up of representatives elected from among commuting students. The council works closely with the Student Affairs Cabinet, the Residence Hall Council and Student Government. Commuter Council administers parking, educational and social activities for commuters to participate in.
Whether you take up with a commuter organization, or opt for something else, the important thing is to connect.
